Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size: 192x158 cm

This piece is a hand-knotted Chobi rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. It's a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. The wool is undyed or naturally dyed where possible, so the colours are warm rather than flat, and the pile is dense enough to handle a busy household.

At 192 x 158 cm (6.3 x 5.2 ft), it's a solid anchor for a living or dining room — big enough that furniture can sit on it rather than around it. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone. It's currently reduced from SR 4,600 to SR 3,337.
