Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size: 153x139 cm

This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. It's a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. The wool takes natural dye unevenly on purpose, which is what gives a handmade rug that slight variation a machine-made one can't fake.

This one comes in at 153 x 139 cm (5.0 x 4.6 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone. Currently marked down from SR 3,200 to SR 2,339.
