Afghan handmade runner, Chobi. Size: 300x87cm

This piece is a hand-knotted Chobi rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. It's woven with the muted, vegetable-dyed palette the Chobi style is known for — soft rust, camel and ivory tones that mellow with age instead of fading out, and you can see the difference up close. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.

Cut to 300 x 87 cm (9.8 x 2.9 ft), it's sized for the spots a standard rug won't fit: hallways, galley kitchens, the foot of a bed. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone.
