This piece is a hand-knotted Chobi rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. The pattern is a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

This one comes in at 403 x 303 cm (13.2 x 9.9 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone.
