Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size: 214x142 cm
Every Chobi rug in this line starts on a loom in Afghanistan, where a weaver ties each knot by hand. The pattern is a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.
At 214 x 142 cm (7.0 x 4.7 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. Being hand-knotted, it should soften and settle in over the first few months, the way natural-fibre rugs are meant to. This one's on sale right now — SR 3,500 down to SR 3,343.
