Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size: 198x159 cm

This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. It's woven in the Chobi style — an open field, a restrained border, and a colour palette built to look decades old the day it's finished, and you can see the difference up close. The wool takes natural dye unevenly on purpose, which is what gives a handmade rug that slight variation a machine-made one can't fake.

Sized 198 x 159 cm (6.5 x 5.2 ft), it's roomy enough to define a seating area without swallowing the rest of the floor. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone. Currently marked down from SR 3,800 to SR 3,463.
