Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size:326x240 cm
This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. It's a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.
At 326 x 240 cm (10.7 x 7.9 ft), it's a solid anchor for a living or dining room — big enough that furniture can sit on it rather than around it. As with any hand-knotted rug, expect small irregularities in the weave — that's the process working as intended, not a flaw. It's currently reduced from SR 15,000 to SR 8,606.
