This Chobi rug is hand-knotted in Afghanistan on 100% wool, the traditional way, with no shortcuts. It's a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool, and you can see the difference up close. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

This one comes in at 260 x 184 cm (8.5 x 6.0 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. One rug, one weaver, months of work — which is also why no two pieces in this range are identical.
