This piece is a hand-knotted Chobi rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. It's a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

At 208 x 153 cm (6.8 x 5.0 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. As with any hand-knotted rug, expect small irregularities in the weave — that's the process working as intended, not a flaw.
