This Chobi rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan, the kind of piece that takes months rather than days to finish. It's a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades, and you can see the difference up close. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.

At 289 x 200 cm (9.5 x 6.6 ft), it's a solid anchor for a living or dining room — big enough that furniture can sit on it rather than around it. One rug, one weaver, months of work — which is also why no two pieces in this range are identical.
