This Chobi rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan, the kind of piece that takes months rather than days to finish. The pattern is a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

Sized 295 x 205 cm (9.7 x 6.7 ft), it's roomy enough to define a seating area without swallowing the rest of the floor. As with any hand-knotted rug, expect small irregularities in the weave — that's the process working as intended, not a flaw.
