Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size:299x199 cm
This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. The pattern is a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.
At 299 x 199 cm (9.8 x 6.5 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. Being hand-knotted, it should soften and settle in over the first few months, the way natural-fibre rugs are meant to. Currently marked down from SR 8,200 to SR 6,545.
