This Chobi rug is hand-knotted in Afghanistan on 100% wool, the traditional way, with no shortcuts. It's woven in the Chobi style — an open field, a restrained border, and a colour palette built to look decades old the day it's finished, and you can see the difference up close. The wool takes natural dye unevenly on purpose, which is what gives a handmade rug that slight variation a machine-made one can't fake.

At 362 x 255 cm (11.9 x 8.4 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. One rug, one weaver, months of work — which is also why no two pieces in this range are identical.
