This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. It's a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades, and you can see the difference up close. The wool is undyed or naturally dyed where possible, so the colours are warm rather than flat, and the pile is dense enough to handle a busy household.

At 362 x 267 cm (11.9 x 8.8 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. Because it's handmade, the piece you receive is the exact one photographed — not a reprint of a stock image.
