This Chobi rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan, the kind of piece that takes months rather than days to finish. It's a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

This one comes in at 354 x 250 cm (11.6 x 8.2 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone.
