This piece is a hand-knotted Chobi rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. It's woven with the muted, vegetable-dyed palette the Chobi style is known for — soft rust, camel and ivory tones that mellow with age instead of fading out, and you can see the difference up close. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

This one comes in at 369 x 269 cm (12.1 x 8.8 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. As with any hand-knotted rug, expect small irregularities in the weave — that's the process working as intended, not a flaw.
