Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size:355x150 cm

This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. It's a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool, and you can see the difference up close. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.

At 355 x 150 cm (11.6 x 4.9 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. As with any hand-knotted rug, expect small irregularities in the weave — that's the process working as intended, not a flaw.
