Afghan handmade rug,Chobi. Size:310x250 cm

This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. The pattern is a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. The wool takes natural dye unevenly on purpose, which is what gives a handmade rug that slight variation a machine-made one can't fake.

Sized 310 x 250 cm (10.2 x 8.2 ft), it's roomy enough to define a seating area without swallowing the rest of the floor. Because it's handmade, the piece you receive is the exact one photographed — not a reprint of a stock image.
