Afghan handmade rug - Paradise garden
Woven by hand in Afghanistan, this Paradise Garden-pattern rug is the sort of piece that gets better with a bit of foot traffic. It's woven in the Paradise Garden pattern, a design that traces back to the walled gardens of Persian miniature paintings — rows of trees, flowers and water channels rendered in wool. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.
Sized 304 x 199 cm (10.0 x 6.5 ft), it's roomy enough to define a seating area without swallowing the rest of the floor. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone. It's currently reduced from SR 9,060 to SR 6,655.
