Afghan handmade rug - Paradise garden 198x150 cm

This Paradise Garden-pattern rug is hand-knotted in Afghanistan on 100% wool, the traditional way, with no shortcuts. It's woven in the Paradise Garden pattern, a design that traces back to the walled gardens of Persian miniature paintings — rows of trees, flowers and water channels rendered in wool, and you can see the difference up close. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.

This one comes in at 198 x 150 cm (6.5 x 4.9 ft), a size that works well as the main rug under a sofa or dining table. Being hand-knotted, it should soften and settle in over the first few months, the way natural-fibre rugs are meant to. Currently marked down from SR 4,500 to SR 3,267.
