This is a hand-knotted Chobi rug, made the slow way — one knot at a time, on a floor loom, by a weaver in Afghanistan. The pattern is woven with the muted, vegetable-dyed palette the Chobi style is known for — soft rust, camel and ivory tones that mellow with age instead of fading out. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.
