Handmade Chobi zeiglar yellow rug 231x190cm

This piece is a hand-knotted Zeiglar-pattern rug from Afghanistan — no two ever come out quite the same. The pattern is a Zeiglar-pattern piece, the softer, garden-inspired cousin of the classic Chobi, with an open field and restrained botanical border. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.

At 231 x 190 cm (7.6 x 6.2 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. A warm yellow runs through the design — an unusual and genuinely striking colourway for a handmade Afghan piece. It ships as the individual piece shown in these photos; once it sells, that particular rug is gone.
