Grey Afghan Chobi rug 232x172
Every Chobi rug in this line starts on a loom in Afghanistan, where a weaver ties each knot by hand. It's a Chobi, the style Afghan weavers developed specifically to mimic the soft, aged colour of an antique Persian rug using new wool. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.
At 232 x 172 cm (7.6 x 5.6 ft), it's a solid anchor for a living or dining room — big enough that furniture can sit on it rather than around it. Grey runs through the field, giving it a cooler, more neutral base than most handmade Afghan rugs, which tend toward warm rust and camel. Because it's handmade, the piece you receive is the exact one photographed — not a reprint of a stock image.
