Handwoven Mamluki extremely fine wool -
Every Mamluki-pattern rug in this line starts on a loom in Afghanistan, where a weaver ties each knot by hand. The pattern is woven in the Mamluki style, an intricate geometric pattern with roots in Mamluk-era design, requiring an unusually high knot count to render cleanly. It's knotted from 100% wool with natural dyes, which is why the tones sit slightly muted rather than looking printed or synthetic.
It's a boutique size, good for a room where a full 3x4m piece would be too much. One rug, one weaver, months of work — which is also why no two pieces in this range are identical.
