Every Chobi rug in this line starts on a loom in Afghanistan, where a weaver ties each knot by hand. The pattern is a Chobi-pattern piece, named for the muted, sun-faded palette the style deliberately imitates using vegetable dye rather than fading over decades. Made from 100% wool with natural dyes, the colour has real depth to it — the kind you only get from pigment worked into the fibre, not sprayed on top.

At 178 x 249 cm (5.8 x 8.2 ft), it's a good middle-of-the-room size — large enough to matter, not so large it fights the furniture. Turquoise sits against the muted background, giving it a little more colour than a typical Chobi without tipping into loud. Being hand-knotted, it should soften and settle in over the first few months, the way natural-fibre rugs are meant to.
