About Us
Every knot tells a story. Step onto art that enriches you.
At JERM Rugs, we believe a rug is the soul of a room. We design and produce handmade rugs for homes, villas and hospitality projects across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf, working directly with weaving ateliers whose families have practised the craft for generations.
We work in three ways. Our custom hand-tufted rugs are made to your room's exact dimensions in 100% New Zealand wool, hand-carved along every design line, and woven only after you approve the visual. Our Afghan hand-knotted rugs are tied one knot at a time in Ghazni highland wool, in the traditional way. Our vintage Turkish and Persian pieces are sourced individually, each one already carrying decades of its own history.
What we stand for
Made by hand. Every Jerm rug is made by human hands, whether knotted on the loom or tufted and carved by a craftsman working from a drawing. No power looms. No machine-made stock. Nothing woven before you approve it.
Made for your room. Most Gulf majlis and villa spaces are not standard sizes. We make rugs wall to wall, to the true shape of the room, rather than asking the room to accept a standard rug.
Heritage, kept current. We preserve traditional weaving techniques while designing for how people actually live in modern Gulf homes.
Fair trade. We are committed to ethical sourcing and to making sure the artisans behind these pieces are paid fairly.
Hand-tufted custom rugs start at 500 SAR per square metre in New Zealand wool. Afghan hand-knotted pieces start at 1,100 SAR per square metre. Shipping is free across the GCC.
